Directed by the visionary Bolanle Austen-Peters, this cinematic masterpiece traces the extraordinary life of Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, the mother of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti and a titan of Nigerian independence. The film spans decades, showing her transformation from a brilliant, determined student into a radical activist who dared to challenge both the British Empire and the traditional patriarchy of the Egbaland.
