The show, which premiered in 2023, follows an amnesiac “milkman” named John Doe (played by Anthony Mackie) who is tasked with delivering a package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland to gain entry into the walled city of New San Francisco. His journey is filled with violent and comedic encounters, most notably with the murderous clown Sweet Tooth and the relentless lawman Agent Stone. Along the way, he forms an uneasy but vital partnership with Quiet (played by Stephanie Beatriz), a vengeful car thief.
