In the heart of a secluded region, Patience “PJ” Jalingo (Genoveva Umeh) is a city girl out of her element. Posted to a rural community for her National Youth Service (NYSC), she expects the usual challenges: no electricity, borehole water, and stubborn students. Instead, she finds a town haunted by “The Silent Reaper”—a mysterious killer who strikes only during the harmattan haze.

Loved the score in Miss PJ 2024! It added so much to the atmosphere
Worst movie I’ve seen in a while. Just a bunch of cliches and a boring plot
🙅♀️ @Rui Costa that’s a pretty harsh review. Maybe give it another go?
Just watched #MissPJ2024 and I’m still reeling from the ending tbh
Gonna have to disagree with the above comment. I think the plot was a bit predictable 😒
I’m so disappointed in this movie. The acting was subpar and the dialogue cringeworthy
Don’t agree with the above comment. Genoveva Umeh delivered an amazing performance
Saw the trailer for #MissPJ2024 and it looks promising. Who else is excited?
@Kenji Nakamura yeah me! The cinematography looks gorgeous
Agree with @Priya Nair. The plot had so many holes and the dialogue was cheesy
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought the supporting cast was underwhelming
tbh, the score was kinda overhyped. Expected more impact from it
@Jabari Kimani tbh, it was a bit one-dimensional but I think they tried their best
@Rakib Hasan yeah I agree. Maybe they should’ve focused more on her love interest?
Miss PJ 2024 was a letdown. The story was so predictable and the characters underdeveloped
Can someone please explain the symbolism behind the river scene? Imo, it was a pivotal moment
@Pascal Nkemdirim tbh, I think it represented PJ’s journey of self-discovery
Love this film! PJ’s determination was so admirable and I loved the scenery too
Can’t wait to see what they do next! Will 100% support Genoveva Umeh’s future projects
What did you guys think of the cultural representation in the movie?
Agreed with @Tebogo Nkosi. Would love to see more from Miss PJ’s cast
I loved Patience’s character but the supporting cast was kinda meh
Loved it! “Fire movie! 🔥” Patience’s transformation was so inspiring
What did you guys think of the ending? I felt like it was a bit rushed and didn’t quite tie up all the loose ends.
I loved how the movie showcased the cultural clash between PJ’s city background and the rural community. It made for a compelling story.
I loved how the movie highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and understanding. It’s a great message for our interconnected world.
I agree with Chisom, though. I felt like I wanted more resolution before the credits rolled.
I think the ending was intentionally left open to interpretation, which is a great thing in my opinion. It leaves the audience thinking and reflecting on the story.
The cinematography was stunning, especially in the scenes where PJ explored the rural landscape. I felt like I was right there with her.
One thing that bothered me was the lack of depth in some of the supporting characters. I felt like they could’ve been fleshed out more.
Let’s not forget the beautiful soundtrack! I’ve been listening to it nonstop since I saw the movie.
I didn’t quite understand why PJ was posted to the rural community for her NYSC. Could someone clarify that for me?
Yeah, I think it’s worth mentioning that the NYSC program is a real-life experience for many young adults in Nigeria. It’s a great way to learn about community development.
The cast did an incredible job, especially Genoveva Umeh as Patience. I loved her portrayal of PJ’s growth throughout the story.
