The narrative reaches its peak when the doctor gains access to an exclusive, ritualistic secret society gathering held at a secluded mansion. Despite being warned that “no one leaves without a price,” he dons a cloak and mask to infiltrate the “ball.” Inside, he witnesses a surreal and dangerous masquerade where anonymity is the only currency, and the participants are some of the city’s most influential figures.
