“Shebeen Queens” is a South African reality series that premiered on Showmax. The first season follows three prominent female entrepreneurs in Soweto, Alina Sishange, Big Mama, and Xoliswa Shwayimba, who run popular shebeens (informal bars). The series provides an unfiltered look into their lives as they try to balance the demands of being a parent and running their businesses in a competitive, male-dominated industry.
