Synopsis: The film is the result of a six-year investigation that began after filmmakers were tipped off by incarcerated men about the horrific conditions, abuse, forced labor, and cover-ups inside the prisons. Much of the most damning evidence is presented through secret cellphone footage smuggled out by the men themselves, who risked severe punishment to document the reality inside.
